Sell My Business

Sell your health and beauty business with a specialist

A controlled, confidential process handled by people who work exclusively in this sector. From your first enquiry to a completed sale.

Why specialist

Why sector experience changes the outcome

The broker you choose affects the price you achieve, the time the process takes, and the probability that it completes. A specialist who has sold many health and beauty businesses brings sector-specific knowledge that a generalist cannot replicate: how to present your financial position accurately, which buyers are genuinely active in the current market, how to navigate the specific issues that arise in salon and beauty business sales, and how to keep a transaction moving when problems arise.

We work exclusively in health and beauty. Every instruction we take on is in this sector. That means the advice we give you is grounded in current, specific experience rather than a generic framework applied from the outside.

For the full case on why specialist knowledge matters and what it means in practice, read our About page.

How we work

How we manage your sale

What a confidential, controlled sale process actually looks like in practice.

We start with a confidential review, not a public listing

We do not list your business publicly as the first step. We begin with a private review of your business, your objectives, and the likely value range. Nothing identifying is shared with anyone at this stage. Only after you have decided to proceed and we have agreed the approach do we begin approaching buyers.

We approach buyers who are ready to act

Our buyer register is not a passive database of people who once completed an enquiry form. It is an actively maintained list of individuals and organisations we have spoken to personally, whose financial position and background we understand, and who are specifically looking for a business like yours. We go to them directly. We do not wait for them to find a listing.

We control what buyers see and when

All buyers sign a non-disclosure agreement before the business is identified. Financial information is released in stages to buyers who are progressing seriously. You are not contacted directly by buyers. Every enquiry is managed by us. You hear about genuine interest only, not every speculative approach.

We support negotiation and keep deals moving

When an offer is received we advise on structure, adequacy, and terms. We help agree Heads of Terms. We support both parties through due diligence, flag issues early, and manage the process through to exchange and completion. Most transactions encounter problems. Our role is to solve them before they become deal-breakers.

We are paid only when you complete

Our fee is a percentage of the sale price, payable on completion. There is no fee if the sale does not complete. We do not charge upfront marketing fees. Our interests are aligned with yours from the first conversation.

FAQ

Questions about selling your health and beauty business

The first step is a confidential conversation with a specialist, not a public listing, not a valuation pulled from an online calculator, and not telling anyone connected to the business. You share basic details about your business in confidence: what it is, roughly where it is, approximate turnover and profit, your objectives, and your preferred timeline. From that conversation you will get an honest view on likely value, buyer appetite for your type of business, and the practical steps needed to sell well. There is no obligation, no fee, and nothing identifying about your business is shared with anyone at this stage. The entire process starts with a private conversation, and starting that conversation earlier than you think you need to gives you the most options.

We maintain an active register of qualified buyers who are specifically looking to acquire health and beauty businesses across the UK. These include existing salon and clinic operators looking to expand, experienced industry professionals looking to move into ownership, investors seeking managed or semi-managed operations, and occasionally strategic buyers and small groups looking for acquisition opportunities. When we take on an instruction, we begin by approaching buyers on our register who match the profile of your business, confidentially, without identifying you or your business. We do not rely solely on public listing portals. For most health and beauty businesses, the best buyers are found through direct, targeted outreach rather than waiting for inbound enquiries from a public listing.

Only if you choose that approach and the nature of your business makes it appropriate. For most health and beauty businesses, where staff, client, and competitor awareness of a potential sale creates genuine risk, we do not use public listing portals as the primary marketing approach. We use anonymous targeted marketing to our registered buyer database first. If after that process there is a need to broaden the marketing, we will discuss with you whether a public listing is appropriate and how to manage it in a way that minimises risk. Our default is always the most confidential approach that is consistent with finding the right buyer at the right price.

A well-prepared business with a realistic price typically completes within four to nine months of instruction. The preparation phase, gathering financial records, preparing marketing materials, clarifying the lease position, typically takes two to four weeks. Finding and qualifying buyers usually takes four to twelve weeks. Agreeing an offer and heads of terms adds one to three weeks. Legal due diligence and completion typically takes eight to sixteen weeks. Businesses that take longer than this usually have one or more of the following: unrealistic pricing, a complicated lease, unclear financials, or a difficult buyer funding situation. The best way to shorten the timeline is thorough preparation before going to market.

You are not committed to complete a sale until contracts are exchanged. At any point before exchange you can choose to withdraw, pause, or change your approach. We would always want to understand your reasons, sometimes what feels like a reason to withdraw is actually a solvable problem, but the decision is always yours. If you have concerns about the process, the offers received, or the timeline, the right approach is an honest conversation with us rather than a sudden withdrawal. Most sale processes encounter challenges at some point, the value of an experienced adviser is helping you navigate those challenges rather than letting them derail a transaction that is in your best interests to complete.
